Deborrah A. Weber

MOORHEAD — Deb A. Weber, 60, Moorhead, passed away at her home on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.

Deborrah Ann Dahl was born in Staples, Minn., on July 26, 1952. She attended grade school at Staples Elementary School and graduated from Staples High School in 1970. She continued her education at Brainerd Community College and Wadena Technical College.

On Sept. 3, 1983, Deb married Gary Weber and they moved to West Fargo, N.D., and in 1991, they moved to Moorhead, Minn. She held multiple jobs, such as managing a motel with her husband, selling insurance, managing the Dilworth Dairy Queen, and running a home daycare.

Deb’s most favorite position in life was being a wife and mother, which she chose to be her final career. She loved being home when her kids came home from school. Even the smallest accomplishments of her children gave her great joy and cause to celebrate. She loved supporting and cheering her kids on, no matter what they were doing. Her other hobbies were politics, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She made the best Halloween costumes on the block.

Her heart was large, kind and overflowing with compassion for everyone. No matter how much or how little she had, she would share with anybody who needed it. Often times the Weber Easter dinner would have a few new friends at the table. She had the gift of gab and a great ability to listen and be there for those who needed her.

Deb is survived by her husband, Gary, of Moorhead, Minn.; her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Brad Duttenhefer, of West Fargo, N.D.; her sons, Kelly Weber, of Moorhead, and Riley Weber, of Minneapolis. She is also survived by her father, Russell J. Dahl, of Staples; sister, Andrea (Dahl) Erlacher; and brothers, Clark (Julie) Dahl and Thomas (Michelle) Dahl; sisters-in-law, Donna Odegaard, Jody (Rich) Mattern, and Naomi (Jeff) Ancrile; brother-in-law, Willie (Julie) Weber; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Meredith Dahl; brothers, Robert J. Dahl and Kelly L. Dahl; three nephews, Russel J. Dahl, Christian R. Dahl and Nicholas Mattern; father-in-law, Hugo R. Weber; mother-in-law, Ruth Weber; and brother-in-law, Robert Odegaard.

Deb will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her kind spirit will always be remembered and celebrated.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Moorhead, Minn.
