Nicholas S. Adams

EAST GULL LAKE — Nicholas Steve Adams, age 81, resident of East Gull Lake, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012. Nick was born Aug. 22, 1931, in Brainerd to Steve N. and Kalliopie K. (Kroushous) Adams.

Nick was co-founder and patriarch of Lindy Little Joe, Inc. He was inducted into the Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota and into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. He was a board member and chairman of the board for Camp Confidence.

Surviving are his wife, Idalene; seven children, Ritha Borden, Jackie Breitbach, Stephen (Sue) Borders, Lance (Pearl) Borders, Arby (Jeff) Snell, Justin (Cheryl) Borders and Lisa Kiffmeyer; two nephews, Steve (Mary) Adams and John (Priscilla) Adams; one niece, Kris (John) Dieter; 18 grandchildren; 29 grea-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 11 great-nephews and great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Steve and Kalliopie Adams; and his brother, John Adams.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brainerd. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and the hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials are preferred to Camp Confidence or the American Cancer Society.
