House votes to end government shutdown, sending legislation to Trump

Reader Opinion: Not listening

Evidently they don't listen. In a recent bonding referendum the voters in the Pillager School District said no, no, no no by a 2 to 1 margin. Yet the school board has decided to raise taxes all on their own. My proposed 2018 school taxes will increase by 52 percent! This is on top of a 45 percent increase from 2015 to 2016. That's nearly a 100 percent increase in four years.

Maybe it's time for some new blood on the school board.
