Reader Opinion: Keep looking at Jesus

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matt. 7:7&8.

I have a new name for Minnesota—New Alaska or Lower Alaska. Bear with me, I'm only repeating what I heard, but Trump hasn't been in office two years and he's taken care of global warming already! I'm hoping we don't have ice fishing for the fishing opener. Watching the Fourth of July parade in parkas. At least there's no skeeters yet, maybe they'll all die of pneumonia.

Moving on. I sure missed Bethany bookstore this Easter. I was looking for a meaningful Easter cards and just couldn't find any locally. A lot of "I'm fine, how are you?" but no real telling the story of Jesus' sacrificial death for our sins, once and for all, for God. The Brainerd\Baxter churches really blew it by not making Bethany a mission for the community and kept it open! Amen?

Finally, like a song we sing, keep your eyes above the waves, the troubles of this world we face daily. Peter was walking on the water fine until he looked down at the waves, keep looking at Jesus and not this world's waves. Amen!

God bless.
