There's an opening in August

Email

It will be interesting to see how the Republicans try to justify extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich with two wars going on and a skyrocketing deficit. They tried to convince us that these are the people who create jobs. Well, how's that been working for the last decade?

To be fair, a lot of jobs have been created overseas. And a lot of people who have jobs here are making a lot more money. In the last five years, the number of federal workers making $150,000 or more has gone from 7,420 to 82,034, 'cause they work so hard. And Congress gets regular raises in spite of the miserable job they have done. But don't let those greedy seniors citizens on Social Security get any increases for two years. They ought to be able to survive on getting back about $1,000 a month that they paid in.

And just when you think the government couldn't get any more clueless, they want us to spend more money to replace all the street signs in the country from Main Street to Main Street. Now there's a priority. And why is Veterans Day a paid holiday for government workers? Hey Congress, August doesn't have a paid holiday yet. You better get working on that.
