Religion in the schools

Email

Recently a pastor prayed for the Veterans Day program at my school. He did not push his religion on anyone yet because one lady complained, the pastor and school were rebuked.

One lady wrote a letter to the school saying the school was wrong to have the pastor pray citing separation of church and state. She threatened a lawsuit if the matter wasn't corrected. The superintendent responded by saying prayer is no longer allowed in any school programs and there will be no Nativity scene in the Christmas program this year.

Christmas is the celebration of Christ's birth. Taking out the Nativity scene is like saying the football team must play the game using a volleyball.

In school, we are taught about Muslims, Buddhists, and other religions, however Christianity is rejected and avoided

Religious freedom is not only allowed, but ordered by the United States Constitution. Do not allow this freedom to be removed from the school.
