Offended by ACLU, atheists
Now I realize, as a middle class American caucasian Christian taxpayer, that I am not supposed to get offended. Well I am! Especially this time of year. By the ACLU and the atheists that they represent, and anyone else that does not recognize Christmas. I'm betting that you will probably go out and buy your kids presents anyway and tell them it is Santa's birthday, or worse yet, all in the name of Allah. I have no problem with people saying Happy Holidays, but you can say that anytime of year, as there is a holiday in every month. Season's greetings? To the big retailers, it's more like "greedy season."
And please, it is not Merry Xmas, it is Merry Christmas, with a capital C.
Last year about this time, there were pictures of four young children on the front page of the Dispatch. Each was asked the same question: "What does Christmas mean to you?" Each had the same answer; "presents." How sad. Thanks to television. Just want to say a big Merry Christmas to all, and especially to the men and women of the Armed Forces.
Without them we would not be free to celebrate anytime of year. God bless you all.
Remember: Jesus is the reason for the season.
