Open Forum: School districts struggling

Email

As a retired resident living in the Pequot School District I want to lend my support and ask for your support concerning the upcoming bond issue. In the late 70s I personally had the opportunity to serve on a school board in a fast growing district where numbers of students simply overwhelmed the facilities. What to do? We expect our school districts to provide all the mandated services to every eligible child regardless of the district budget. In today’s economy all governmental units struggle with budgets. Personally I rank school districts and the education of our children at the top of the list of our responsibilities. As seniors we need to continue to participate in the future.
