Citing excessive cost, Mills stops recount push

No schedule of basketball tourney

Since you are overseeing the news I will address this to you. No story appears, not even scores in the “scoreboard” area, and no listing of any tv or radio coverage (which there is starting today) of the Minnesota state high school boys basketball tournament. There were 12 games yesterday, starting as early as 10 a.m. and going into the evening early enough to be covered in the scores if no other story.

We have been Dispatch subscribers for over nearly 40 years while living in Aitkin and Little Falls and finally back in Aitkin. I enjoy the paper and simply want to offer my comments about something which is important to many people.

The Minneapolis StarTribune had a large feature story on the past 100 years of state tournaments, which included some about past Brainerd teams.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
