Game feed supports the Brainerd High School Trap Shooting Team

Supporting the Brainerd High School Trap Shooting Team through Wild Game Fundraiser

We had the pleasure of attending a fundraiser for the Lakeshore Conservation Club at Ernie’s on Gull Lake. This event was promoted as a wild game dinner and fund raiser to help support the Brainerd High School Trap Shooting Team that is sponsored by Lakeshore Conservation Club.

All of the prizes, wild game and volunteer help came from the members of the club reaching out in an effort to really support this youth shooting sports activity.

The Brainerd and Nisswa lakes area is very fortunate to have an excellent selection of great restaurants and chefs that offer just about everything you could ask for in the dining experience.

With that said, the head chef at Ernie’s on Gull, Mark Macho truly put himself into the status of one of the best Chefs in the area, without question. Mark created one of the finest wild game feasts that I have ever tasted and that is supported by the other sixty guests that gave him a standing ovation after the meal.

We were treated to over 27 different types of wild game entrée’s from elk, venison, bear, antelope, duck, to several species of fish, all prepared in an excellent fashion.

Once again, I would like to thank Chef Mark the “Wild Game King”, and Zac Swarthout and Chris Foy, the new owners of Ernie’s on Gull for helping in this effort.

Plans are for even bigger next year, so you do not want to miss this culinary treat! Absolutely the Best!
