The little red engine started out in Aitkin with the District 10, 10A, 10B convention for nomination of candidates for Minnesota’s legislature. Carrie Ruud(Senate District10),Chris Kellett(House District10A) and Dale Lueck (House District10B) were waiting at the platform and got on board.
The next stop was Park Rapids where the Eighth Congressional District held its convention on April 21st. Chip Cravaack was unanimously endorsed with standing applause to continue to represent Northeastern Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives. Delegates and alternates to the national Republican convention were also chosen, and our delegate to the electoral college was also selected.
Representative Chip Cravaack accepted the endorsement for re-election and stepped on board without any baggage but he did have an itinerary which he shared. He outlined the track he intends to run on and spoke to the delegates about the need to bring the will of the people back to the “people’s house.” In fact, he shared how he already had started. He knew the (rail)road back to Washington may be difficult because of DFL opposition and the influx of outside agitators. What is their intention? To side track/ de-rail the little red engine.
The next stop for the little red engine as it gains steam will be at the Minnesota State Republican Convention on May 18-19 in St Cloud. Rest assured the rest of the Republican team will be at the statio and on the platform waiting to board. Those that make the trip will join Carrie, Chris, Dale and Chip and the little red engine will be magically transformed in to the big red machine and be rolling on down the line for better government locally, state-wide, and nationally.
