Adult justice for a child

It is disturbing to read of the 15-year-old Riverton child being tried as an adult and incarcerated with adult prisoners. He killed his father with intent with a shotgun. No mention of why there was a shotgun so available in the home and disbelief that he was abused.

Every parent knows how unable a child of 15 is to think of consequences.

I believe in restorative justice and this certainly seems a case to be considered.

This is a terrible tragedy, but it cries for further investigation in terms of the life of a child and his future in prison.
