Chip is inaccessible
Chip Cravaack is running to keep the Minnesota 8th District congressional seat he won two years ago against Jim Oberstar. A key element of his 2010 campaign was the charge that Jim Oberstar was inaccessible to his constituents.
Obviously, irony cannot be Chip Cravaack’s strong suit, because he is inaccessible himself. I have been trying for over a month to get Chip Cravaack’s office to send me his public appearance schedule because I have an interest in seeing and speaking with Chip Cravaack in person.
After four emails over the course of a month to his office asking for that schedule, without any reply whatsoever, I posted on Chip’s Facebook page that I was waiting to hear from him. Rather than answer my question, he simply blocked my access to his Facebook page.
I guess in his view, if he can’t hear me I don’t exist. Nor do my concerns.
Now, to add insult to injury, I found out that Chip Cravaack came to my community yesterday for a GOP fundraiser open to the public, and his office didn’t bother to even let me know that event was happening, nor was the information posted on his official website.
I am very disappointed in the cowardly and shoddy behavior of Chip Cravaack and his office. I expect and deserve better from my representative.
He shouldn’t be hiding from me, but I guess that’s how he runs his campaign.
