Chip for Brainerd

Chip for Brainerd

Running, and serving, in public office takes special courage and conviction.

And, if the truth be told, it is something few of us would ever choose to

do. We owe our thanks to all those who give their time to make our community

a better place.

It’s particularly gratifying to see someone like Chip Borkenhagen seek

election to the Brainerd City Council. He’s not only dedicated a good part

of his life to our area, he’s cultivated the relationships and knowledge to

truly make a difference.

I’ve known Chip for years in his role as a business owner, a supporter of

the arts, a volunteer, a creative professional, a community advocate. I

sincerely doubt there’s another with the commitment, insights and vision to

positively shape our city’s future. Not only does he understand and

represent the best interests of businesses and residents alike, he does so

by listening, by caring and by innovating through collaboration. Our

community has many strengths, but it also has its challenges and needs leaders like

Chip to bring new ways of thinking and better ways of doing. I urge you to

place your trust and your vote in him Nov 6.
