Stop whining

In response to Robert Olson’s Guest Opinion: I have to admit, I’m one of the ignorant and stupid voters he is talking about. I just thought it would be a good idea that the top 2 percent of Americans pay the same percentage of income tax as the middle class.

Since the advent of Bush tax cuts, the American businesses have sent more jobs over seas than they’ve created new ones here.

He referred to President Obama as a habitual liar or is he confusing him with past president, George Bush, who claimed that weapons of “mass destruction” have been located in Iraq and we must send in troops to find them and take over the country.

We can put the cost of the war on the White House Visa card and let the next president worry about it (Sen. Wellstone and Obama were the only senators that voted against the war.) The interest alone is washing out the gains of government spending cuts.

I find it hard to sympathize with the wealthy when it comes to paying the same tax rate as the middle class. The ignorant masses have to weigh out paying insurance premiums or their mortgage, while the upper 2 percent have to decide how much money to give to the political party that will give an advantage to themselves.

The writer states that the increase in tax would only run the government for one month. Correct me if I’m wrong but that sounds like a step in the right direction!

As far as the “union pimps” go, the union workers have been the backbone for income tax revenue for the past 60 years.

Mr. Olson, it’s time to realize your team lost. They were out-coached and out-played. Just remember, sour grapes make a bad wine.
