Conversation success

Thank you to all those who showed up at our first Community Conversation a few weeks ago. We felt like we had a good beginning to what we hope will be constructive, ongoing dialog about taking Brainerd to the next level of building our sense of place, and the “cool factor” that more and more people keep talking about. There are many issues facing every city these days, and fewer funds to give us the boost from higher governments we have been used to. So the more good ideas we can bring to the table, and discussion we have about finding our shared vision, the better off we will all be.

Our next get-together will be Tuesday, Jan. 15, 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. If you have some ideas about “Building a Better Brainerd,” check in at our Facebook page, or come to our meeting and contribute to making a difference.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
