A war on women
Some call the Catholic Church’s (and some secular employer’s) opposition to a HHS mandate, which would require some religious employers some secular employers, to go against their consciences and to pay for health insurance covering birth control and abortion-inducing drugs, as a war on women.
The religious order of The Little Sisters of the Poor is an order of Catholic nuns who run nursing homes. They have brought legal challenges against this HHS mandate.
Doesn’t the picture of the gentle (and unmistakably female) sisters bringing this challenge, give lie to the charge of misogyny?
