Pretty simple

Something to think about for the taxpayers. When you see trucks out spreading sand at above 15-20 degrees, such as today, sand doesn’t melt any ice. The 10 percent salt that is in that mix does melt if you would’ve been applying straight salt. Your roads would stay wet until it cools down to below 15 degrees. That looks like a waste of money to me. Figure out how many trucks were out applying sand. Sand works when it gets cold. You have to have sand for traction but at warmer temperatures, salt melts ice. Pretty simple.

Photo should’ve been color

In your Monday’s paper on Page 3A, there was a black and white photo of the military cemetery. I think that it should have been in color because of all the beautiful ribbons and headstones.
