Disappointed in selection
In a recent search for a christening gown I found just about every store in the Brainerd/Baxter area doesn’t carry one. Although I did find one at Herberger’s, I found it to be far out of my budget. I don’t understand why the big department stores don’t carry them. Most families are on a small budget and cannot afford to buy an expensive one. Unfortunately I ended up buying girls’ pants for a little boy and a very plain top to go with. I think the department stores need to do a little rethinking on what they sell for small babies.
Please consider the services provided by your grave shift working neighbors for a tiny smidgen of this beautiful day you get to enjoy and they have to try to sleep through and silence your barking dog.
Appreciated snow globe info
Thank you to the Vox Pop elf who replied with the wonderful posting of the name and phone number of a man who fixes snow globes. I appreciate that. That was really swell. Thanks a bunch.
Editor’s note: You’re welcome.
Baxter out of line
The city of Baxter should keep its money-grubbing hands out of the Dondelinger/Crow Wing County project. Everything was properly handled, meetings, permits and the project was a go-ahead. Another small business expansion. Great. If Baxter wants something to do, they can work on filling all of the empty strip malls along Highway 371 and keep their money grab out of this project. Kudos to Crow Wing County and Dondelinger Chevrolet for properly handling this issue. To the City of Baxter, back off.
More story wanted
Something exciting going on on the corner of Sixth and Front Street. It’s great that the interior of this historical building is being restored to the day of fame when Baby Face Nelson “made history.” More on the story please.
