Serious consideration needed
Brainerd, are we doing our part? Are we pulling together as a community? With 15 percent unemployment so many of our neighbors are hurting. When you hire are you seriously considering those who are qualified in our own area? These people have given so much to our community or churches or taxes. Consider giving them serious consideration so we can turn our own economy around. There are so many people who won’t take a job here because of the economy.

Thanks for the birthday lunch
My sister and I were at Country Kitchen on Sunday for lunch. It was her birthday. When the young man in the next booth left, he said, ‘Happy birthday.’ We thanked him and he said something else but we weren’t sure what he said. After he was gone, the waitress came and said, ‘Your meal has been paid for.’ We felt so bad we didn’t get a chance to thank him. So, if you’re out there and read this, you’re a special, beautiful person and we want to thank you.
Corn is for food. You don’t burn your food.
The offering plates must be overflowing because we have now a third billboard in about as many months. Seems kind of odd to me that there’s money for all of that.
Not about the kids anymore
Bob Gross is dearly missed by many school district employees and community members. It’s not about the kids anymore in this district. It’s a select few administration making poor decisions for the entire district. Bob Gross valued and cared about people and he was respected and respected his employees and the community. He wouldn’t call someone in and belittle them for expressing their professional opinion or thoughts on something they disagreed with. He wouldn’t treat people that way. This district needs a change and I’m hoping it will come sometime. And I’m very thankful that I only have a few years left to teach in this district and I can move on.
