Vox Pop-May 20
Take an active role
If the Dispatch truly wants to improve the civility of conversation in its online article comments, discussion site and Vox Pop, it needs to start taking an active role in reviewing such comments. Online point systems are not new — in other papers they end up doing nothing to solve the problem, in fact I think they exacerbate it, as the fringe is more motivated to support like ideas no matter how uncivil they are than the majority — thus boosting points for nasty comments — just as long as they support the preferred idealogy.
Students should have been focus
To the CLC graduation speakers who took the opportunity to make their addresses to the graduation students into a commercial about CLC instead of making the students and their accomplishments the center of attention.
Where’s Vox Pop?
I don’t understand why the Vox Pop isn’t printed anymore. Please run it for people to read.
