How to spend a cool, pleasant day fishing — without boundaries

Fishing has no boundaries!  It really doesn’t matter what the disability, people that have the will to fish can get it done (with a little help)!

Last Saturday I captained our pontoon during the annual FHNB (Fishing Has No Boundaries) Brainerd event based out of the Confidence Learning Center and held on Sylvan and Gull lakes.  It was a beautiful day and quite rewarding all the way around.

Andy thought this was our eighth time fishing the event and for Andy it’s one day he looks forward to getting out on the water.  I had Andy, Kevin, Larry, Andrew and Therese (Larry’s sister, who was the photographer for the day).  All the guys caught fish and even kept a few.  There was a little “smack talk”, some good eating (thanks, Zorbaz and Ernies!), some relaxation and just an all around pleasant day on the water with some pretty cool people that don’t have it as easy as a lot of folks!

If it sounds like something you would like to get involved in next year, sign-up!  You will enjoy.
