Walleyedan: A new rig for the Fourth - and beyond
As we approach the Fourth of July, fishing has been fairly good. The walleyes are starting to show up on area lakes and Mille Lacs continues to produce as well.
Friday afternoon I was to pick up a new “rig.” I’m going to be running the new 20-foot Larson for the remainder of the season and hopefully for years to come. I’m excited to grab a hold of that tiller handle and let it rip!
I have spent the last 3-plus seasons in my Triton tiller. This new boat with have the same horsepower (150) but is a 4-stroke. The Larson FX series is an injection molded fiberglass boat that has a great layout for anglers and some luxuries that the family will really like, too.
Too early to tell exactly what it will look like on the exterior, but it’s looking like it won’t be decked to the hilt for the Nisswa Fourth of July parade.
Happy Independence Day!
