DETROIT LAKES - The Staples-Motley Cardinals girls' tennis team defeated Detroit Lakes 5-2 and Moorhead 4-3 Tuesday to improve to 3-2 on the season.

MORRIS - Hannah Toedter of Wadena-Deer Creek finished seventh in Monday's Morris Area cross country meet.

LITTLE FALLS - Katie Hochsprung pounded 11 kills and had 14 digs and two blocks to lead the Little Falls Flyers volleyball team past Pierz 3-0 Tuesday.
