Lightning drop conference opener

DETROIT LAKES - Kyler Decent netted two unassisted goals en route to four goals on the night for the Northern Lakes Lightning who dropped their Mid-State Conference opener 10-7 to the Detroit Lakes Lakers on Thursday night.

Jacob Travis, Connor Chambers, and Aspen Florey each recorded goals for the Lightning. Kegan Couture, Alec Fitch, and Evan Rhodes had assists.

Joe Herda had a busy night in net, turning away 35 of 45 shots on goal.
