WRESTLING: B-H/V’s Turchin dominates in tournament

FRAZEE — Colin Turchin of Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale lived up to his No. 5 ranking in the Class 1A heavyweight division with a three-pin performance Saturday at the Frazee dual meet tournament.

Turchin earned two of his three pins in less than a minute and earned all-tournament honors. 

Teammate Dylan Koppendrayer finished 2-1 with two pins at the 215 weight class.

The Raiders went 0-3 with losses to 1A’s second-ranked Frazee, Fargo North and Bemidji.
