Warriors’ coach Zemke reaches 100 victories

ST. CLOUD — Justin Kuglin recorded two individual first-place finishes and two more on relays as the Brainerd Warriors presented head coach John Zemke with his 100th career dual meet victory by dunking the winless St. Cloud Apollo Eagles 105-73 in Central Lakes Conference action Thursday.

“We’ve had some amazing swimmers and divers come through in the past 14 years,” Zemke said. “It’s pretty easy to go out there as a coach when you have that kind of talent come through.”

Kuglin earned first in the 50 and 100 freestyles and participated on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

Tyler Schneider added two wins and Sam Dellacecca, Jorgen Bjerkness, Matt Wright and Andrew Solseth each added one for the Warriors, who claimed first in 10 of 12 events.
