C-I's Zillmer, Hamman capture titles

PARKERS PRAIRIE - Hayden Zillmer won the title at 130 pounds and was named the meet's outstanding wrestler as the Crosby-Ironton Rangers finished sixth at the Parkers Prairie tournament Saturday.

C-I's Jeremy Hamman won the 189 title. Mat Malloy placed second at 103 for the Rangers.

Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale placed eighth and the Raiders' Colin Turchin and Dylan Koppendrayer captured titles and Kasey Horn finished second.

Aitkin runner-up at Bemidji

BEMIDJI - Brian Wold (135) and Dalton Stevens (152) each took first place to lead the Aitkin Gobblers to a runner-up finish in the Rick Lee tournament Saturday.

Finishing second for the Gobblers were Jordan Chouanard (145), Kevin Handt (160) and Andrew Blast (189).

KIMBALL - Jordan Heldman went 3-0 and Blake Petrich and Chandler Trout were both 2-0 as the Staples-Motley Cardinals placed second at the Kimball dual meet tournament Saturday.

Heldman improved to 18-2, Trout is 15-3 and Brent Lisson is 14-3.

Flyers finish fourth

MOUNDS VIEW - Frank Wilczek and Dillion Kifer each finished 4-0 as the Little Falls Flyers placed fourth at the Mounds View Mustang Duals on Saturday.

Joe Tuholsky also finished the meet undefeated at 3-0 for the Flyers while Axel Lange and Conor Swanson were 2-1.
