FERGUS FALLS — Jake Scott hit a 3-point shot with 2.4 seconds left to give the Little Falls Flyers a 61-58 win over the Fergus Falls Otters in Thursday’s Central Lakes Conference game.

It was the eighth win in the last nine outings for the Flyers, who are now 10-2 in the conference and 14-5 overall.

Scott finished with 11 points and was joined in double figures by Mitch Dorn with 13 and Grant Bell with 10.

Verndale 52, Henning 50 (OT)

HENNING — Dallas Ehrmantraut turned in 18 points, eight rebounds and five steals as the Verndale Pirates held on for a 52-50 overtime win over the Henning Hornets during Park Region Conference play Thursday.

Zach Meidinger added 17 points, seven assists and five rebounds for the Pirates.

Verndale benefited from a stroke of luck as a would-be-game-winning 3-pointer by the Hornets went half way down before rimming out with five seconds remaining in overtime.

BAXTER — Patrick Trout finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lake Region Hornets past Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig 60-27 in a non-conference game Thursday.

Lake Region had 10 different players in the scoring column and Josh Gazelka grabbed 15 rebounds.

SEBEKA — Cole Hunstad and Matt Doss each tallied nine points, but the Pillager Huskies were no match for Class 1A’s top-ranked Sebeka Trojans during an 82-44 Park Region Conference loss Thursday.

Sebeka jumped out to a 61-13 halftime lead en rout to their 15th straight win, while the Huskies have now lost 15 in a row.
