ST. CLOUD — Joey Hanowski and Ben Newman combined for three goals lifting the Little Falls Flyers past the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles 5-2 during Tuesday’s Central Lakes Conference game.

Spenser Fenske scored in the first period and Austin Bjorge added the final goal in the third for the Flyers.

Mike Stumpf recorded 20 saves on 23 opportunities as the conference-leading Flyers have now won five straight.

Red Lake Falls 4 OT

RED LAKE FALLS — Kyler Decent finished off a hat trick with the games final goal in the second period as the Northern Lakes Lightning finished with a 4-4 tie against the Red Lake Falls Eagles during Tuesday’s non-conference game.

Joey Bergquist recorded 49 saves, including 20 during the third and overtime periods, to secure the tie for the Lightning.

Riley Nelson netted a second period goal to round out the Lightning goals.
