Beseman, Flyers sweep Warriors

LITTLE FALLS — Paige Beseman, who earlier in the season reached 1,000 career points in a game against the Brainerd Warriors, scored 28 points to go with seven rebounds Thursday to lead the Little Falls Flyers to a 63-56 Central Lakes Conference win over the Warriors.

Whitney Weisz added 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Flyers, who outrebounded Brainerd 34-25 leading to a season sweep of Brainerd.

The Warriors were plagued with foul trouble as the Flyers scored 25 points from the foul line.

Brainerd was led by Emilee Branum’s 24 points and Ally Mueller’s 10.

“We started a little slow, but we battled back and got it to within four and then took the lead,” McAllister said. “We just missed shots and they shot well from the foul line. We got in foul trouble and they beat us on the boards.”
