Halverson shoots UND’s best score in final round


SHREVEPORT, La. — Brainerd High School graduate Sean Halverson shot the low round for the University of North Dakota men's golf team as the Sioux placed seventh in Tuesday’s final round of the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate.

Halverson, a freshman, carded a team-best 76 in the final round. He tied for 25th overall with a two-day, three-round 235 (79-80-76).

Junior Tyler Monda of Brainerd was the top finisher for the Sioux, tying for 13th with a 225 (71-77-77).
