Lakes area archers honored by state group
Andrea Lampke, Alyssa Burley and Christopher Wiger, all of Brainerd, were recognized at the Minnesota State Archery Association’s state indoor archery tournament banquet Saturday at Redwood Falls as 2010 grand champions.
Lampke competed in the female freestyle division, Burley in the youth female bow hunter freestyle division and Wiger in the youth male freestyle division.
The three were honored for having the highest cumulative scores in five events during the season in their respective divisions.
consignment sale Saturday
The Brainerd Sports Boosters Club’s “All About Sports Consignment Sale” is scheduled Saturday at Brainerd Area Civic Center.
Boats, 4-wheelers, skiing, pool tables, fishing, soccer, baseball, football, basketball, softball, hockey, horse tack, hunting gear, clothing, exercise equipment, shoes, video games and bicycles are among items the club anticipates will be for sale.
Firearms and appliances will not be accepted.
Bring your stuff day is from noon to 7 p.m. Friday. Sale day is from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

St. Scholastica women
tie program record
RIVER FALLS, Wis. — Pillager High School graduate Katlin Krause helped the St. Scholastica women’s track and field team break a record at the Falcon Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls this past weekend.
On Saturday, Krause and the 4x100-meter relay tied the program record with a time of 50.58 seconds and finished ninth.
The 4x400 relay that included Brainerd High School graduate Katherine Mueller placed fourth and was the second-fastest Division III team at 4:13.1.
In the men’s meet Friday, BHS graduate Tom Lyscio placed fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 172-6.
The Saints will compete in the Holst Invitational, hosted Concordia University-St. Paul, on Saturday.
