BOXING Rubin wins Upper Midwest championship

Brainerd’s Nate Rubin captured the 132-pound championship in the Upper Midwest Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament last weekend at Northern Lights Casino in Walker.

Rubin defeated Francisco Solis of Minneapolis and advances to the national tournament April 25-30 at Indianapolis.

I then transfered up to Bemidji State University in, you guessed it, Bemidji, MN. In the spring of 2009, I graduated from BSU.
