SOFTBALL: Anderson, Warriors blank Sabres

SARTELL — Nikki Anderson did some early spring yard work as she mowed down 15 batters in a complete-game shutout of the Sartell Sabres, leading the Warriors to a 14-0 Central Lakes Conference win Thursday.

“Nikki hit her spots,” Warriors assistant coach Dan Bzdok said. “It is hard to throw in cold weather, but she was pretty much in control of her game.”

Anderson allowed just three base runners with two walks and one hit batter. It’s her second shutout in two games.
