NISSWA — Nick Forsberg carded a 77, meriting the Stapes-Motley Cardinal a tie for the first-round lead during Tuesday’s Pequot Lakes Invite at Grand View Lodge’s The Pines.

The Cardinals’ Michael Strain finished two strokes behind the leaders as the Cardinals landed in fourth place with a team score of 331.

Tommy Olson led the Brainerd Warriors with an 83 and Will Feyder and Nik Helland each carded 87s for a team score of 352.
