BOYS TENNIS Brainerd romps past Apollo

ST. CLOUD — Two tie-breaker sets at No. 1 doubles was all that kept the Brainerd Warriors from shutting out the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles, settling instead for a 6-1 win in a Central Lakes Conference meet Tuesday.

Trent Anderson and Gunnar Askegaard pushed both doubles sets to 6-6, losing the tie breakers 7-3, 7-4.

Jordan Shiltz improved his singles record to 5-1, defeating David Trout 6-3, 6-1. 

Also winning in singles play were Cole Sundquist, Luke Jacobsen and DJ Kraemer.

Winning doubles matches for the Warriors were Reno Fussy- Bobby Posch at No. 2, and Ryan Bell-Parker Sundquist at No. 3.
