Legacy women

Becky Butcher’s 42 was the low score on the Dutch’s front nine, while Teresa Berg’s 48 was low on the back during the season opener of women’s night May 3 at Cragun’s Legacy Courses.

On the front side, Ali Timmons had the low putts with 15 helped by sinking the longest putt. Tammy Olson was closest to the pin.

Mary Boeder had low putts on the back nine. Cathy Gray made the longest putt and Teresa Berg was closest to the pin.

Rachel Martin’s 32 was the low round on the Par 3 Course and was helped by her low number of putts. Jan Houle was closest to the pin and Donna Gottsch made the longest putt.

Women’s Outing

Cathy Seczko, Jackie Payne, Naomi Jobes and Pam Morrison won the scramble event at the season’s first Grand View Lodge women’s outing May 3 at The Pines.

Kari Dayton, Judi Moravec, Barb Elmquist and Blanche McMenimen finished second.

The team of Laurel Mezner, Paula West, Ellen Ogg and Julie Hofius tied Barb Wenschlag, Casey Gromer, Marian Duffy and Pat Anderson for third.

Hofius was closest to the pin and Elmquist sank the longest putt.

The next women’s outing is 5:30 p.m. May 17 at The Preserve.

Whitefish women

Enga Wodziak shot a net 35 to win flight A of the opening day for the Whitefish women’s 18-hole league May 4.

Anita Stensby shot 38 for second in the Alternate Country game.

Marlys Guse won Flight B with a 29 followed by Myra Faust’s 36.

Sandra Pohl’s 31 placed her in first for flight C. Joi Brandt and Mary Boeder tied for second with 36s.

Guse and Barb Hanson each had chip ins. Guse carded two birdies, Hanson one, Pohl one and Joan Kantos another.

Holes-in-one

Tom Brown, Anoka, aced the 150-yard 17th hole on Breezy Point Resort’s Whitebirch Golf Course May 3 using a 5-wood.

Doug Van Steenwyk, Brainerd, aced the 135-yard 15th hole of the Dutch Course at Cragun’s Legacy Courses May 5 using an 8-iron.
