TRACK and FIELD Pillager boys win again

SEBEKA — Shane White swept the hurdles and won the 100-meter dash to lead the Pillager Huskies to first place in Thursday’s Park Region Conference meet.

The Pillager girls received firsts from Jackie White (300 hurdles) and Sarah Neururer (pole vault) to land in second.

Pillager’s Wesley DeLong won the 400 and long jump. Jake Weizenegger (triple jump), Matthew Neururer (high jump) and Cory VanHal (pole vault) also picked up firsts for the Huskies, which also captured three of the four relay events.

The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale boys and girls teams placed fourth. BH/V’s Kathryn VanDenheuvel won the high jump.
