LEGION BASEBALL: Little Falls holds off Sauk Rapids

SAUK RAPIDS — Mitch Dorn pitched all seven innings and gave up just three hits while striking out eight and walking four to lead Little Falls past Sauk Rapids 3-1 in the rain Tuesday night.

Fill-in catcher Nathan Masog ended the game by throwing out a Rapids runner at third in the pouring rain for his second throw-out of the game.

Spencer Feske had an RBI single for Little Falls in the second and Mitch Gregory drove in the go ahead run in the sixth. Still in the sixth, Dorn drove in an insurance run on a fielder’s choice.

Pierz 12, Royalton 2  (5 innings)

PIERZ — Brad Meyer and Brady Dorn each went 2-3 to lead Pierz to a five-inning, 12-2, win over Royalton in Legion play Tuesday night.

Meyer finished with a double, triple and an RBI while Dorn added two more RBIs on a pair of singles.

Travis Dorn picked up the win allowing just one hit and striking out three in three innings.
