LEGION BASEBALL: Crosslake-FL-Pequot Lakes sweeps Aitkin

PEQUOT LAKES — Crosslake-Fifty Lakes-Pequot Lakes swept Aitkin 11-2 and 2-0 in a doubleheader Thursday evening.

Crosslake was led in Game One by Travis Noska who went 2-3 scoring three runs and stealing two bases. Cole also finished 2-3 with a run and a stolen base.

Aitkin managed just two hits in each game, singles by Isaac Collins and Jordan Moore in the first, and a double by Collins and a single by Jack Bargen in Game Two.

Crosslake also had only two hits in the second game, a RBI single by Cole.  Bryan Yackley batting as the DH notched the other single.

Pierz loses two 

PIERZ — Pierz came up on the short end of both games of a doubleheader losing 3-2 and 6-3 to Albany Thursday night.

In the first game, Dylan Kummet went 2-3 for Pierz and Travis Kahl added a double.

Andy Liedenfrost finished 3-3 with an RBI while Brad Meyer went 2-3 and Kummet doubled.

The losses drop Pierz to 3-2 on the season.
