YOUTH BASEBALL: Hammer Heads, Angels, Pirates win championships


League and playoff champions were recently determined in Brainerd Parks and Recreation youth baseball leagues.

In Mustang League, the third-seeded M.J.’s Sport Shop Hammer Heads tripped up the No. 2 Riddle’s Jewelry Aqua Sox 14-4 for the playoff championship. The Brainerd Jaycees Silver Hawks were regular-season champions.

In Bronco League, the top-seeded American Legion Post 255 Angels downed the No. 4 Brainerd Lunkers Mets 15-5 in the playoff championship game.
