RACING: Higby is ‘King of the Track’

After Sunday’s back-to-back first-round elimination losses in the Super Pro and Pro ET classes, one would think Wally Higby’s weekend on the drag strip was a complete wreck.

Higby shook off those two losses and then lined up against the top six drag racers in BIR’s Bracket Drag Racing Series in a run-off to determine the best of the best in the bracket program. When the dust settled, Higby was in the winner’s circle where he was crowned “King of the Track.”
