BOYS SOCCER: Bell’s five points lift unbeaten Flyers

BELLE PRAIRIE — Grant Bell tallied three goals and a pair of assists to lead the Little Falls Flyers to their fifth straight win of the season, 7-0 over Becker in non-conference play Thursday.

Frank Jeffries added a pair of goals and single scores were by Kyle Gapinski and August Maciej.

Flyers keeper Mike Stumpf was only called on to make three saves as Little Falls outshot Becker 24-3.

“Our defense has been strong,” said Little Falls coach Julie Bell. “We’ve been using Mike (Stumpf), passing back to him giving us more space and time.

“I was really impressed with our kids’ passing and patience tonight — patient until a scoring opportunity arose, and then they took advantage of it.”

Thus far, Little Falls has outscored the opposition 27-1, the lone goal coming in a season-opening 2-1 win over Bemidji Aug. 26.
