BOWLING Warriors move into tie for first

Brainerd defeated St. Cloud Apollo 3-2 and St. Cloud Cathedral 5-0 at Jack's House in Brainerd Saturday. 

The victory moved Brainerd into a tie for first place with Sauk Rapids and Apollo. 

Sam Larson, Cam Larson, and Steve Warta led the Warriors against Apollo with 100-, 100-, and 81.8-percent fills.

Against Cathedral, five Warriors led Brainerd to victory. Robert Stange, Duncan Vinje, and Cam Larson had 87.5-percent fills followed by Warta and Sam Larson with 83.3. 

Sam Larson had 17 of 25 possible strikes for the day. 

Brainerd travels to Great River Bowl in Sartell Oct. 22 to face Milaca.
