SECTION 7-2A VOLLEYBALL: Rangers move to next round


CROSBY — Hallie Schmidt’s 18 kills led the No. 4 seeded Crosby-Ironton Rangers to a 3-1 victory over the No. 5. seeded Pine City Dragons in the Subsection 1, Section 7-2A quarterfinals Wednesday.

Missy Foote added 15 more kills, Amy Biever added 31 digs and Bailey Swensen recorded 38 set assists for C-I.

Sienna Miller finished with 15 digs, 11 kills and five ace serves to improve the Rangers’ record to 12-15-0. C-I will now play top-seeded Esko Friday in Proctor.
