SWIMMING AND DIVING: Etterman in first place after prelims


SARTELL — Brainerd’s Beth Etterman sits in first place out of 26 competitors after the first eight dives Thursday in the Central Lakes Conference diving prelims.

Etterman scored 238.85 points.

Lonie Anderson finished the night in seventh place with Madison Grausam in ninth and Mikayla Cerney in 12th.

All four Brainerd divers advance to Saturday’s finals, which will have 16 girls competing in the final three dives.
