BOYS SOCCER: Lake Region repeats as state champs

BAXTER — Patrick Trout, Aaron Bostrom and Jonah Trout scored for the Lake Region Christian School Hornets in their 3-0 Minnesota Association of Christian Schools state championship victory over Rosemount Saturday.

David Jensen and Dawson Barringer added assists and Ryan Christenson stopped four shots for the shutout.

Earning all-tournament team recognition was Jensen, who was the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, Patrick Trout and Jacob Goodew.

Those three, along with Daniel Newton, were named to the All-MACS team. Second team members were Matthew McDonald and Barringer. Josh Gazelka and Bostrom were named honorable mention.

“This year we finished 17-1 and last year we were 12-2 and we won the state title both years so it was just a really good group of guys,” said Hornets coach Nate Jensen. “They played great together.”
