Wolverines finish fourth at state


ST. PAUL — For the first time in three years, the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines finished a season with a loss.

The Wolverines fell to Jordan 3-0 in the Class 2A state third-place match Saturday to conclude the season with a 27-6 final record.

Last year, the Wolverines won the Class 2A state title. The year before that they won the state consolation championship.

Jordan was led by Kelsey Chambers’ 21 kills and 15 digs as they racked up scores of 25-17, 26-24 and 25-13.
