WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Raiders stumble in tournament opener

BISMARCK — Jalynn Lamb led all scorers with 16 points, but the Central Lakes College Raiders are still looking for their first win of the season after losing to United Tribes 73-62 at the Arman Classic Friday.

Betsy Helmeke added 10, while Lindsey Roos, Lena Montano and Nikki Pearson all finished with nine points.

CLC’s Emily Weber secured nine rebounds.

“Thirty five turnovers just killed us,” said CLC head coach Dennis Eastman. “We just kept giving the ball away. They had 27 points off our turnovers — we gave them way too many chances.”
